Update on Welcome Back Night

The social season got off to a fantastic night last Saturday with the Welcome Back Trivia Pub Crawl. Over 30 members were cable-tied together  and let loose in Blackrock, much to the amusement of the locals. Armed with maps, a scavanger hunt hit list and a questionnaire from each bar, each team raced their way around each of the five pubs after negaotiating the Dart on the way.

The night culminated back in the Railway Clubhouse according to tradition where the scores were counted and verified. Aoife McCarthy and Jennifer Ingram were the first home in 68 minutes, pipping Eoin MacArthur and Grace O’Flanagan to the post by one minute! (Eoin will claim their taxi took a wrong turn!)

Eoin and Grace weren’t left empty-handed though as they scooped the prize for fastest completed scavanger hunt.

Nikita Telford and Rob Devlin were worthy winners of the trivia aspect getting the most right answers, a whopping 67 out of 80!!! Rumour has it 66 of those answers were contributed by Rob but it was a team effort…

Welcome Back Night

Join the Ladies Hockey for their annual Welcome Back Night this Saturday 8th of October.

This is the first club social of the year to welcome new members to the club and to welcome back everyone else!!!

We will begin in the club house, travel to Blackrock circulating round the different pubs and finish back in the club house.

There will be prizes on the night for the winning teams so have those game faces at the ready!!!

We will meet in Railway club house @ 7:30 to sign in and you will find out who your been partnered with (all bribes accepted!!). Leaving for Blackrock at approx 8pm.

So spread the word and see you all on the 8th Oct!!!
