15 – 22 September 2013
Aloha – Welcome to Hawaii
For the first time since its inception in 1983 Golden Oldies Hockey will visit the shores of Hawaii.
Get a taste of local flavours in Kapahulu one night, then dine at a Five Diamond Hawaii Regional Cuisine restaurant the next. From indulging in urban comforts to escaping to natural wonders, Oahu’s “town and country” experiences are unrivalled. With so much to see and do, you’re never far away from just what you’re looking for. Visit the Heart of Hawaii and find the island paradise you’ve been searching for.
Kapiolani Regional Park will be where the Hockey is played in 2013. Kapiolani Regional Park is the largest and oldest public park in Hawaii, located in Honolulu, Hawaii on the eastern end of Waikiki. The 300-acre (1.2 km2) park, named after Queen Kapiolani, the Queen consort of King David Kalkaua, is home to the Waikiki Shell and the Honolulu Zoo and will provide the perfect location to play Hockey. The situation is perfect, just a short stroll from all Festival Hotels and amenities of the famous Waikiki Beach.
The Hawaii Tourism Authority, and the Mayor of Honolulu have all pledged their support to ensuring that all Golden Oldies Hockey participants in 2013 will have memorable and enjoyable Hawaiian experience.
