SUMMARY:Custom Gumshield Fitting
DESCRIPTION:Sportsguard Ireland will be coming to Railway Union to mould and custom fit dental gumshields with prices at €45.    Sportsguard Ireland will in the committee room inside the club house from 6pm. 3rds-6ths are requested to come from 6pm (i.e. before training) and the 1sts and 2nds come from 6.30pm so as to avoid congestion. You can pop in also after training also.    Sportsguard Ireland is a brand new Irish company set up by former Leinster and Ireland rugby professional Gary Brown and dental professional David Geraghty. The Sportsguard product is a dentally fitted, custom made mouthguard manufactured using unique impressions of each customer’s mouth.    The benefit of a Sportsguard custom fitted mouthguard over shop bought alternatives is that the custom-fit nature of the Sportsguard product provides greater protection for not only the teeth but also the entire head region from impacts. A key and sometimes overlooked function of a mouthguard is to limit the negative effects of blows to the head by absorbing the energy of such impacts. The better the mouthguard's fit the more energy it absorbs from impacts, therefore the less energy is transferred to the brain thus limiting the effects of concussion.

DESCRIPTION:Railway Union Ladies Cricket will be playing their annual Grainne Casey Memorial game on Sunday 29th August. This event is a fundraiser for breast cancer and we will be hosting a bbq, raffle and a McDreamy Auction....  We are not looking for money at this stage but are inviting the real men amongst us to offer their 'services' which will be auctioned on the evening as part of the post match festivities. So far the following McDreamys have agreed to take part;  Billy Dwyer - 3 hours of gardening  Niall O'Brien - a wicketkeeping session  Kevin O'Brien - a cricket coaching session  Trent Johnston - a cricket coaching session  So ask yourself, do you have a skill that you can offer for a really great cause? Could you teach someone to cook, drive, play bowls or tennis? Could you babysit, valet a car, tile a bathroom? All offers (however bizarre) will be gratefully accepted and hopefully we will have some fun too!
